Premier League - Higuain Moves Closer To Arsenal Switch (Brother Confirms)

Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain looks set to be on his way to Arsenal after he proved to be too costly for Juventus.

The Old Lady were in negotiations for the Argentine international who has made it clear he wants to leave Madrid this summer.

Juve officials have flown out for talks with the player and his club over the last six weeks, but the Turin giants have now wrapped up a €12m deal for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.

“I think that Higuain is now closer to Arsenal,” Nicolas Higuain, the forward’s agent-brother, told TMW on Wednesday.

“Juventus are a great club, but Gonzalo is too expensive for them.”

Serie A rivals Napoli have also been associated with the South American as a possible replacement for Edinson Cavani.

“Napoli are a strong side and that place represents a lot for Argentines,” Nicolas added. “Saying that, I can’t deny that Gonzalo is now close to Arsenal.”

Juventus are understood to have offered €22m to Real for the player who the Madrid outfit value at closer to €30m.

Nelson Mandela: On Life Support

Anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela was on life support in a Pretoria hospital late Wednesday, said an official who had been briefed in detail on his condition.

Considered the founding father of South Africa's democracy, Mandela, 94, has been hospitalized since June 8 for a recurring lung infection.

Authorities have described his condition as critical since Sunday, and President Jacob Zuma said earlier Wednesday that Mandela's condition remained unchanged, South Africa's national news agency reported.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, the government said Mandela's doctors "continue to do their best to ensure his recovery, well-being and comfort."

As the nation remained on edge, police barricaded the street leading to the hospital's main entrance. Well-wishers hung balloons, stuffed animals and messages of support along the wall outside his Pretoria hospital.
Crowds hovering nearby sang "Where is Mandela?"
"We need you!," one sign read. "We love you tata, get well soon!" said another, referring to Mandela by the Xhosa word for father. Someone else left a stone upon which was written, "Sending you light and love."

Several members of the family came out to collect some of those items Wednesday.
"He's going to feel a lot better when he sees these signs," said David Manaway, Mandela's grandson-in-law.

Why Mandela has six names Mandela's former physician and the nation's ex-surgeon general, Dr. Vejay Ramlakan, also visited the hospital Wednesday, said the national news agency, South African Press Association.

Mandela became an international figure while enduring 27 years in prison for fighting against apartheid, the country's system of racial segregation. He was elected the nation's first black president in 1994, four years after he was freed.

A little girl kidnapped from the Children department of the Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun State, has been found. The girl was brought to church this morning by her parents.

The girl now around four years was reportedly sold to a woman in Kano. The girl known as Praise was taken away from the woman after the man that kidnapped him confessed to committing the crime.

The kidnapper said he was struck with a strange disease after kidnapping Praise. He also became blind. In addition to this, he said he was always seeing the founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, pursuing him with a sword in his dream, hence his decision to confess his sin.

The Bishop said the self-confessed kidnapper was taken to a branch of Winners church by his wife.

Writing A Good Business Plan: What Investors Want To See

If you are in the process of raising capital for your business from investors, then you unquestionably need a business plan. A business plan is a critical part of starting any business and serves a number of critical functions. Writing a solid business plan can be a real challenge, however, which is likely how you found yourself here..

A good business plan must answer in sufficient details the following 10 questions if it is to meet the expectations of prospective investors and potential business partners.

1.  Company Description – What does your company do? What is your mission statement and overall product or service focus?

2.  Management Team – Give a brief description of your key employees with respect to leadership, education, background and work experience.

3.  Problem Being Solved – What problem is your company solving and how great is the pain or waste?

4.  Customers – Who are your potential customers? Does your product or service directly impact your customer’s bottom line?

5.  Value Proposition – How much does your customer make or save by using your product or service? What are the benefits to your customer? How long does it take to realize these benefits?

6.  Business Opportunity – How does your company make money? Describe the revenue streams, and include a yearly projection of revenue, expenses, EBITDA, net income and funding requirements for the next five years.

7.  Uniqueness – How do your customers use your product or service today? Who else does the same thing you are doing today? Who else could be doing it tomorrow?

8.  Barriers to Entry – Is your product or service defensible? Are there sufficient barriers to entry? What patents, copyrights, trade secrets, etc. protect your product from duplication?

9.  Competitive Differentiation – What is the competitive landscape? Discuss companies that can be viewed as competition in the market segment. Please explain the key points of differentiation between you and your competitors.

10.  Scalability – Where might your product grow within your client company (and its supply chain and sales channels) or among client users?

11.  Sales and Marketing Strategy – What is the target market size and growth over the next five years? How will you attract customers? What are your distribution channels and how do you plan to achieve market penetration?

12.  Strategic Partners – What strategic relationships do you currently have or plan to have in the future? What is the nature of these relationships?

Answering these questions successfully will sufficiently excite a lender or investor about your concept and that will convince them they should fund your business.

Whether you are seeking a bank loan, equity investment from angel investors, venture capital firms or friends and family, you need an Investor Ready business plan. An investor ready business plan is a document that has been professionally prepared to meet the needs of investors.

Obama's Trip to Africa: Comes With a Hefty Price Tag

President Obama's upcoming trip to Africa will require extraordinary security measures and will likely cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars, according to a confidential planning document obtained by the Washington Post.

In addition to the hundreds of agents that will be required to secure the president when he visits Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania later this month, the Washington Post reports that military planes will airlift in 56 support vehicles, including 14 limousines and three trucks' worth of bullet-proof glass to cover the windows of the president's hotels.

The security precautions go beyond the ground to the nearby seas and skies. The Post reports that an aircraft carrier with a fully staffed emergency medical center is being positioned nearby and that fighter jets will protect the president's airspace 24 hours a day.

While the trip's price tag remains unknown, President Clinton's visit to Africa in 1998 cost the federal government at least $42.7 million, according to the Government Accountability Office.

Obama's expensive trip, the cost of which is in line with previous presidential trips to Africa, comes as federal agencies are grappling with across-the-board spending cuts.

The costly security measures are reportedly due in part to the fact that the White House will have to rely more heavily on U.S. resources rather than those provided by local officials in Africa.

Marriage: Things To Know Before Getting Married

Before you get married please read...

1.   Once you are hooked to the wrong person the battle is over, you will either be managing or patching till you die.

If a goat marries a fish, how would they live or where would they be meeting each other? It is only when the goat is thirsty and goes to the river to drink water that they will only see briefly as the fish will jump out to greet the goat and swim away. Any marriage where both partners see each other once in a long while is likened to the goat and fish illustration above. Marriage does not make marriage. It is the people in marriage that make marriage.

2  Compatibility is worked out, of course you may never get a perfect person. But with dedication, knowledge and wisdom compatibility will start building, that is if he or she is the right person.

3.   But the major challenge in getting married is choosing the right person. You don't choose a person because he or she is available or eligible. You choose a person because that person is the right for you.

4.   Run away from any man or woman that is easily angered by nature; that is getting angry easily is he or she's lifestyle. It is difficult to change that person. But if someone gets angry by mistake, that person can be corrected but if it is his or her nature, you have to think twice.

5.   It is possible to mis-marry. It is possible to be living with the wrong man or woman. It is possible to be dating the wrong person or be in courtship with the wrong person.

6.   Once your choice is right then you are on the right track. How can a lion be married to a goat? what now
happens when the lion is hungry? Any man that beats his wife is likened to the above illustration. Any woman that oppresses her husband is also likened to this scenario.

7.   There are some people that are highly inflamable, please do not take a box of matches near them. What this means is that these people's hearts are made of stone, giving them your soft heart in love is a mistake. They will not value it.

8.   Love may be blind to many, but marriage will definitely open their eyes. Love in reality is not blind when you start seeing those unchangeable signs during courtship please keep off. When a man starts cheating on you when dating, it is a sign that he will do much more when he is married to you. He or she may legally begin to cheat on you because he is now married legally to you.

9.    Dating is not for outing alone, dating is for knowing, watching and examining. Watch out for negative signs to see if it can be dealt with, if it cannot be dealt with in courtship it may not change in marriage.

10.   To get the right person, try to be the right person. Work on yourself, work on your flaws.

11.  America and the western world seems plagued with divorce today because they marry without paying attention to these facts listed above. They marry without knowing the person they are marrying at least to a large extent.

12.   Don't practice divorce before you get married. That is when you are breaking relationships over and over again, your emotion is also affected in the process. Wait for the right person.

13.   Don't marry because you cannot enjoy your singlehood. If you are happy being single, then you will be happy being married and if you are not happy while still single....

14.  Marriage is not an escape from singlehood but marriage is actually a graduation from singlehood...moving from writing simple exams of life to writing another hard exams.

15.   Do not rush into marriage because you are under pressure or you are feeling you are the odd one out. When you are feeling everyone is getting married except you then you are making yourself becoming a wrong person.

FIFA Confederations Cup: Tahiti v Nigeria, June 17th 8pm (GMT+1)

Tahiti will play their first ever FIFA Confederations Cup game against Nigeria in Belo Horizonte on Monday.

The side, who qualified for the tournament after winning the Oceania Nations Cup, face a Super Eagles team surrounded by controversy who will only fly into Brazil two days before the match.

Nigeria's participation was brought into question after their players refused to get on the plane from their hotel in Namibia on Thursday following disputes over bonuses.

The team are believed to have requested 10,000 US dollars in cash and threatened to strike when this was turned down.

However, with the issue now resolved, Stephen Keshi's squad are scheduled to arrive in Brazil on Saturday to begin preparations ahead of their second Confederations Cup.

Tahiti will face a tough task when they come up against Nigeria, as the Africa Cup of Nations champions have gone unbeaten in their last three games, registering two draws against Namibia and Mexico and a 1-0 victory over Kenya.

However, with the Super Eagles seemingly struggling for goals, Tahiti will hope to limit them with their strong defence - which includes star player Nicholas Valler - and potentially grab a goal on the break.
Veteran Marama Vahirua - a former France under-21 international - joins up with his country for the first time and manager Eddy Etaeta will be hoping his decision to select the Nancy striker pays off.

Meanwhile, Nigeria forward Brown Ideye, who scored 21 goals for Dynamo Kiev last season, could be key to his country's chances, with AFCON top-scorer Emmanuel Emenike and Chelsea's Victor Moses both unavailable.

Nigeria Government Anti-Tobacco Bill: Smoking Will Soon Be Banned in Nigeria

The Federal Government, on Thursday , said smoking would soon be banned in the country as soon as the Anti-Tobacco Bill before the National Assembly was passed into law.
It also disclosed its readiness to convene a Universal Health Coverage to help boost strategies towards improving healthcare delivery.

Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, who spoke in Abuja, at a ministerial platform, insisted that the Federal Government could no longer condone smoking.
He asked rhetorically: “Why are you smoking? Why are you taking what will kill you? What benefit do you derive from smoking?”

Professor Chukwu listed his achievements in office in the last two years to include establishment of National Trauma Centres in the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital and the National Hospital, Abuja; completion of Federal Staff Hospital, Jabi, Abuja; completion of Laboratory and Administrative building of the Nigerian Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja, and rehabilitation and equipping of several teaching hospitals in the country.

The minster disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan increased funding for polio eradication to N4.7billion and made further commitment of N2.5billion this year with a Presidential Task Force on Polio Eradication constituted to help in the fight against the disease.

He said, “today in Nigeria, seven of our teaching hospitals can do kidney transplant. This month, we are expecting International Certification Team on the Elimination of Guinea Worm in Nigeria.”

Confederations Cup 2013: Nigeria settle bonus dispute

The Super Eagles will leave Namibia for South Africa on Saturday and fly to Brazil the same day after calling off a threatened strike.

The row was settled following the intervention of the country's sports minister Bolaji Abdullahi.

"It's been resolved and we will land in Brazil by Sunday," one of the players told BBC Sport.

"The whole issue has been resolved and we can now concentrate on the Confederations Cup.

"We are now hoping that the government live up to their promises and pay us once we get to Brazil."

The Nigeria Football Federation's general secretary Musa Amadu said in a statement: "We are shocked, like every Nigerian, at the attitude of the players.

"It is incomprehensible because the NFF president Aminu Maigari and myself sat down with the management of the Super Eagles, including coach Stephen Keshi, to explain why we had to slash the bonus and other measures taken as a result of our financial constraints."

Amadu said the squad would travel to Brazil on Saturday, giving the team only one day to train before their opening match against Tahiti on Monday in Belo Horizonte.

The Nigerian players had refused to leave their hotel in Namibia on Thursday and missed their scheduled flights to Brazil, after a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

They were angry over unpaid bonus money promised to them after they beat Kenya 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier last week.

The players wanted to be paid £6,370 ($10,000) but the cash-strapped Nigeria Football Foundation, which has been forced to cut back on backroom staff of the various national teams, refused.

The Nigerian players had then been offered a bonus £1,590 ($2,500) following their 1-1 draw in Namibia in another World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, but the players wanted more.

Nigeria are also set to play Uruguay in Salvador on 20 June and then Spain in Fortaleza on 23 June at the Confederations Cup.

Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum

What’s the single most difficult aspect of single parenting? I know, we all have our different answers as the individual challenges differs from state to state and country to country. I complete agree with the fact that a role meant for two mates now belongs to an individual is enough to break one down with enough stress to last a life time.

However, despite what you read from the media and hear, being a single mother is not all bad news. To encourage our beautiful strong single mothers out there are these tips to becoming a great single mum help ease through the journey.

1.Maintain a relationship with God.
Whatever your religious inclination, talking to your God through prayers and reading your Holy Bible, Quran etc will only require a few minutes or hour of your time in the day. Doing this will refresh your soul, give you inner peace and renewal, hope, especially if you are facing different challenges.

2. Seek out role models:
Single mums and her child(ren) can flourish. The first step is to make a list of other single mums or children raised by single mums who inspire you and refer to it as whenever they are going through a difficult day. The world is amazed how Obama turned out good from such a background.

3. Find a work schedule that suits your life style and family.
Do not be afraid to express your needs to your employers by telling him or her you are a single mum / parent. Most of them will understand and assist you in getting a flexible work schedule.

4. Do not freak out over things beyond your control – if your child’s father promises to show up unannounced during an event at your child’s school. Do not loose your beauty sleep over it. That’s his wahala not yours!
5. Do make out a ‘me – time”.
Being a single mum is hard work, so you deserve time off every now and then. When you create free time for yourself, you can enjoy going to the salon or spending time with friends after having left your child(ren) in the capable hands of either a baby sitter, another single mum friend or neighbour.

6. Be yourself.
Do not compete with yourself. This is because, nobody is keeping scores on the unmade beds, unclean breakfast dishes and toys scattered about on some chaotic morning. Please, focus on doing the most important things to avoid lateness for you and your child (dren). These include bathing, getting dresses, having breakfast and leaving for school/ work for both you and the child(ren). You can always get back to doing these chores later.

Finally, this tend to reduce or completely take the pressure off you whilst spending more quality time with your child (ren).

Namibia–Nigeria Preview: The Brave Warriors hope to dent the shine of the Super Eagles (FT Score: 1 - 1)

Nambia’s Brave Warriors go into Wednesday’s match hoping to do the almost impossible - beat the Super Eagles who have not lost in their last 16 games.

Added to that is the abrupt departure of their coach, Roger Palmgren on Sunday but the Warriors got a morale boosting draw away to Malawi last Wednesday and will be hoping to build on that point with all three points against the African champions.

On the part of the Eagles, expect the same players with the exception of Sunday Mba to start against Namibia. John Ogu should replace the Rangers midfielder, who had a below par performance against Kenya.

Last time out in Calabar, the Eagles had to wait till the 80th minute to get the winner and last Wednesday in Nairobi, it took all of 80 minutes for Ahmed Musa to nudge the Eagles in front. Also against Kenya in April, the Eagles took 93 minutes to get the equalizer against the Harambee Stars.

The Namibians are still without the injured Rudolf Bester, Henrico Botes, Heinrich Isaacks and Ronald Ketjijere, but Oliver Risser has resumed training and is in contention for a starting berth while there are no injury worries for the Super Eagles.

Coach Stephen Keshi is expected to send out his team in his favoured 4-3-3 formation while the Warriors should begin in a 4-4-2 formation with the two upfront expected to join in the midfield battle and crowd out their Nigerian opponents.

The Warriors need to win their last two games to stand any chance of topping the group and qualifying for the last round of qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup. They are currently third on the log with four points from four matches.

So the game should be tight and if there is no goal after 75 minutes, be patient, the Eagles are now in the habit of scoring late goals.

Blackberry Smartphones Flaw

I like to keep this discovery to myself (because it can be used negatively) I also thought it wise to make it known to other BB users.

I got a call on my BB early this morning while still in bed, I looked at the caller ID and was surprised to see my own name displayed as the caller! 'Wtf' I thought to myself, how on hell did I get to dial my own number, thinking the call came from my other line. I look carefully and saw my saved details;  image, names, place of work  and phone number. At first I ended the call and checked both phones to be sure the call didn't come from my other phone. Was thinking how could this have happened when the same call came in again, I answered the call only to hear 'asalamalaikum', told the caller wrong number and ended the call.

Even call log had my details and number as the caller. Then I looked carefully at the caller's details (call history of call log) only to discover that it came from a 0703 mtn number while mine is a 0803 mtn number but other seven numbers that followed where all same (meaning it was just the second digit that differs). I was like wao! How come? This is supposed to be a fuc... smart phone!

I dialed same number on my basic nokia phone (it also has my mtn number saved on it) but it wasn't as 'dumb' as the  blackberry and didn't display my saved details except the number I dialled.

I also dialled same number that called me on my bro's blackberry and lo and behold my details were displayed as the number being dialled.

Further more, I decided to change the 0703 digits to another mtn ID. So I used 0706 and rest of my seven mtn numbers. The result was conclusive; BB isn't smart after all  as my details was displayed as the number being called even thought it wasn't.

Meaning if you stored 0803(1234567) as Obama on your blackberry and 0703(1234567) or 0706(1234567) calls you and ask you for a favour, you may gladly oblige to the unknown caller's request because your blackberry is gana show that the call is from the Obama you have pre saved on your blackberry.  Am sure a text from these other numbers will also display as being sent by the Obama you have pre saved on ur blackberry.

Same for other networks! Beware!!

SONY Launches PS4

It is a design that is sleek and visually impactf wherever it is placed," said Andy House, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment said during the reveal. And that's probably true, or at least, it's fair to say that the PS4 isn't any more obtrusive than the PS3 was. But it still looks a bit bulky at first glance, like an onyx coffee table book that you keep propped up by your television.

If anything, it seems to take up even more of a footprint than the PS3, although it's hard to say based on the brief glimpse we got of the console on the stage. Maybe more fair to say that it looks like an evil Wii, or a more genteel 2001: A Space Odyssey monolith.

Family uncovers undetonated civil war bomb in Owerri, Nigeria

It was a shocking discovery at the Umuoma Autonomous Community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State at the weekend when indigenes uncovered an undetonated bomb buried in a family compound since the civil war years.

The bomb, suspected to have been laid during the civil war, was buried deep in the soil in one Igbokwe’s compound at Ukwo-Umuoma.

A police source told National Mirror that the bomb was uncovered after several days of rainfall that washed away the top soil, exposing the edge of the bomb suspected to have been buried for over 40 years.

It was not clear whether the bomb was laid by the Nigerian troops or their Biafran counterparts, but a source said the area was the base of Biafran troops when Owerri sector fell to Federal troops during the war.

Some children were playing in the compound after the rain when one of them observed “a strange object” buried in the soil with a part of it revealed, one of the villagers told our correspondent.

According to the source; “The people in the compound did not know that they have been living with a destructive weapon for over 40 years.”

It was learnt that on discovery, the people raised the alarm which attracted passers-by who on close examination suspected it to be an explosive, before they reported the matter at a nearby police station. A police source said that the Anti-Bomb Squad of State Police Command was contacted to detonate the bomb.

“The police bomb experts detonated the bomb at a nearby bush,” the police source said. When the state Police Public Relations Officer, Joy Elemoko, was contacted, she confirmed the incident.

Newly Acquired Enugu State Police Car Crashed

Enugu State acquired about one hundred brand new Kia Rio to be used as police cars few weeks ago. Most people criticized this action; stating that the State Government should have acquired the made in Nigeria brand of Innoson patrol vans. Not only that, the Police are now patrolling every where in the state waiting for motorist to commit even minor offences on the road.

Others thought the brand of car is too expensive for the Police and that these cars would be ruined in a couple of months. Well these Nigerians are kinda right as this is already happening after just few weeks of purchase.
